This walk passes along the old Camino La Corredera and connects the PR-TF 83 Granadilla-Los Escurriales route, along the Madre del Agua Trail, and with the PR-TF 83.1 Las Vegas – Los Escurriales route which is part of the Camino de Los Cardos, hence walkers need to have followed part of one of these trails in order to reach the departure point of this route.
Below a pine forest, typical of the south of the island, which is dotted with shrubs and plants such as rockrose, the walker enters the Corona Forestal Natural Park, the largest protected area in the Canary Islands, which surrounds the Teide National Park.
The only climb on this track is when crossing the ravine of Las Calderas, where the pines are interspersed with shrubs that are tolerant of the shade and the occasional flooding of the ravine.
This is an interesting trail as its various options mean that the route can be adjusted to the various abilities and tastes of the hiker.
