Cueva del Santo Hermano Pedro
ANTO HERMANO PEDRO’S CAVE This sanctuary is dedicated to Pedro de San José Betancur, better known as Saint Hermano Pedro, who during his childhood took refuge in the cave whilst tending herds. Inside the cave remains a wooden sculpture of the Saint beside the holy offerings and prayers of the faithful.
Pedro de San José Betancur was born in Tenerife but carried out his religious and evangelical work in Guatemala, where he was noted for his treatment of the sick and the poor.
