The Eco Finca is located in a protected natural area, very close to the Montaña Colorada Natural Park and the Teide National Park and in the only municipality in the world with Starlight Certification as an Astronomical Tourist Destination. It is distinguished for being located in one of the best places in the world for observing the night skies, together with a relevant history of the beginnings of high mountain astronomy.
Starlight destinations, which are sponsored by organisations as important as UNESCO, are defined as places of great interest for the contemplation of the day and night sky, as an essential part of nature. The highlights are not only the spectacular views of the sea and the pine-covered mountains, but also the absolute privacy and tranquillity. Spacious outdoor areas with several terraces, a 3.50 x 5.50 m swimming pool (not heated), a barbecue area at the back of the house, invite you to enjoy many hours of leisure time outside. The impressive glazing of the large rear terrace converted into a meeting area is offered for enjoyment in summer as well as in winter. With a glass roof, it offers star gazing at any temperature. Upstairs there is an open plan bedroom, which like the rest of the area has stunning views towards nature. The house is rustic in style, combining natural stone with noble woods and modern components to guarantee maximum comfort and convenience. The whole house has free WIFI service. It is rented as a single unit and guests will enjoy it exclusively and in absolute privacy. It is made up of 3 individual flats, so depending on the number of people who book the house, the rooms will be arranged according to the number of people who book the house. The main flat consists of a cosy living room with SAT-TV and sofa bed, a large bedroom with 2 single beds in the upper part and a bathroom with shower and a large fully equipped main kitchen, which serves all the guests and through which you can access this flat. It also has access to a front terrace with stunning views to the pool, sea and mountains. The second flat is attached to the first one, being very similar and sharing the front terrace. It consists of a living room with a sofa-bed and a small kitchenette, an upper bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with shower. The third flat is at the back of the house and also has a small living room with sofa bed, a large bedroom upstairs and a bathroom with bathtub. The laundry room is also located separately at the back of the house. Due to the characteristics of the house, it is especially suitable for groups of friends or families who want to travel and enjoy activities together, without having to give up their privacy. For families with children, sofa-beds will be provided in the living rooms so that they can stay in the same flat. The sustainability of the house is fundamental being absolutely respectful with the environment, without detracting any kind of comfort to the house. All the electrical energy is generated by 22 photovoltaic panels, which means that CO2 emissions are zero. A system of inverters and chargers, together with 48 battery elements guarantee 24-hour supply. Both the energy required for heating and domestic hot water is supplied by solar collectors and 500 litre tanks. Finally, there is a biological septic tank for water collection, where all the water generated in the homes is purified before being released into the environment. Even the water in the houses is drinkable and comes directly from galleries and springs of the Teide with an ideal supply of minerals.
The area of Cruz de Tea is important in terms of vineyards and environmentally friendly organic production.
For those who like hiking there are many routes that start directly from the house or in the immediate vicinity, without having to use the car to get to the starting point. It is an ideal accommodation for individual travellers, nature lovers who are looking for tranquillity and privacy, far away from the big crowded tourist centres.
The celebration of events and parties is expressly forbidden, as well as the access of people outside the reserve. It is also requested to respect the rest of the neighbours, not making noise after 22.00 h.
Groups of young people under 30 years of age are not allowed.
